They have a "clear top surface" after they cure or so it seems. I have done four boats with Interlux, and they are still in excellent condition after 30 years with inside storage under cover. My last was my 28' Cigarette center console, thread under 35' to 28' conversion in the Cig forum. I did the sides in navy blue, and it looks like it was sprayed and compounded. Dark colors will show every defect so prep is 95%! Also winter is not the best time to do this unless you have a consistent 70+ degree work space 24 hours a day. These are top side paints but are fine for a trailered hull. Let me know if I can help further and best of luck. Bob N.
Well said with one tip...errr lack of tip of course. Drop the badger brush it just messes up the finish yes i said that right Once you roll out the initial paint and when you would go back to tip use another foam roller to flatten the stipple and blend in any runs. You will leave a mirco nap finish that will flatten like glass, ive done three boats in that fashion over the years the finish is incredbile for amature work actually above almost auto finishes unless color sanded.

Well shizzzle i had a vid on photobucket of flattening with a roller...it was ten yrs old i guess i was grandfathered out. Below is the final finish note the bad tape line's that how much of a rookie i was....still am. By the way brightside's is ok stuff but Perfection is the paint to use by far superior.

Thanks guys! I've made my mind up! Lol that black came out amazing! How much paint do you think I would need to do my boat? It's an 86 formula 242ls I want to do the sides black and the deck and above the body line gray and if the hull is ok to paint like you said bill I would like to do that as well just not sure if it would look better keeping the black going through the the whole bottom or maybe breaking it with the gray and I would also like to do the center down the deck black as well if anyone is in the New Hampshire area and would like to give me a quote I'm ok with that as well lol
