Cool boat!!! For a Fountain:lolhit:
I never knew you could use any gel over epoxy. I had always heard that gel didn't stick/bond to epoxy. |
So.. is the epoxy stronger or lighter, both , neither, I new it was pretty unique when I first saw it .I guess more than I thought.

Yeah I wasn't even boat shopping and it popped up on Craigslist a couple hundred miles away. Couple road trips to sea trial. Done !
side note , black is HOT! Lol Am I only seeing a single front seat ? |
Just a poor angle, seats 5 comfortably.
It barely got below 100 the month of July, but its small enough that there's no reason burn your feet off on the bow.:cool-smiley-011: |

What would be the advantage of a epoxy built boat ? if it is a foam core boat I could understand it having a better bond and shear strength over a vinyl ester boat but I am just guessing.
Fill us in Oh Wise One. Please epoxy gives the highest elongation but a good VE isnt that far behind. VE is epoxy but suspended in a styrene matrix (or something to that affect) |

epoxy isnt lighter by volume but it allows you to take advantage of much higher physicals and build lighter and stronger at the same time. That is pretty cool that is a unique boat. |

edit he did say you got a good one , maybe some not so much. |
Yes indeed, thank you. One of my the.cool things about it and I'm not sure if it was intended or a flaw is the layup underneath kind of shines through giving a faceted look although the surface itself is very smooth.
