Default How to make hull water ramps

I have a cat and have been told to add water ramps in the hull bottom to help with water pressure for outboards. How is this done?

From the looks of the pics in this thread they are taking material off the bottom of the hull to deflect the water up into the pickup of the lower unit. Thread
