I have a 272 Baja. My tabs are only 11" long. What length should they be to run in the 80's? I never use the ones I have unless i'm going slow and need to push the nose down. I'm assuming rough water is where you would use these, correct?
I was looking at mine and the easiest way I saw to lengthen them was to weld same gauge plate(overlap 11" plus whatever additional length) to the existing tabs to make them longer. |
trim tabs arnt something extremly specialy are they? couldnt you take them to a fab shop and have them extend them or make you longer ones? just seems like a simple cut and dry thing, if you lived in florida id do it for damn near nothin
