question is
my engine builder tell me if we go with sonny brodix intake and a dominator carb will gain 35-40 hp..
opinions please.

The best way to test combo is on the dino. A good carb guy can do wonders with a 4150 style carb.

If the heads/exhuast/cam combination will flow the air, the dominator will make more HP.

we saw 13hp with a stock 1050 over a BG 850, intake dart was the same the test we used a 2'' spacer with the dom, we pick up more with a nickerson 1050 about $1400 EXTRA I put it on the boat picked up around 3 mph, then it got stolen, now I have a new carb that is more like a brosweld spelling off and going with a brodix oval intake port matched to the rect heads should be good for 60hp with cam hoping for 75 to 90hp the motor makes 647hp with 850bg, now wanted to hit 700hp plus. so yes !I think you canmake it. my new carb is a CFM cubic flow modifications 330 723 5688 I was told as good as brosweld carbs, my nickerson was good also. oh my heads are merlin also ports cleaned up. artie

i went to the dyno today great news dart intake and dominator 1050 was good for 40 hp 642 hp 679 torq. 5500

note all test no assesories.. you got what i mean.

I SURE WOULD Have like to try the sonny brodix intake.. only had a dart around do you think we left some hp lying around by not testing the sonny brodix ..
