How would the 454 R work on a mild 454 that dyno at 460 hp at 5400 ? Have stock alum Merc dual planes with Eldebrock 750 Marine carbs. Would low end suck? Most of time cruise at 3400-3800 rpm. Has good hole shot now.

Weiand Stealth, a dual plane manifold that will run in the higher rpm range like having a single plane. best of both worlds.
I had the floors on my rectangle port intake welded up 1/4" to match my wedged heads to increase velocity. my 468's made 590HP with this manifold.

Interesting. Looks like the same of the Merc intake. I know that inside designs differ. Looks alittle taller than the Merc. Thanks for the info.

The Weiand Stealth was THE intake that was used back in the day when A and B class engines were limited to dual plane manifolds.
