I suggest you go with the Alpine "WIRELESS" unit which is the CDA-9886 Marine head unit and MC10 remote commander which again is wireless....I just ordered mine and they should bearriving in the next week or so - just a suggestion...
The only downside of these two units is you need both of them to work - they are not universal with other units...

thanks for all the suggestions on the "other units" but I just put this HU in last year and I know this remote can be wired to it because it's already been done. Kenwood says the remote has no pinouts because it is only intended for use with 2 HU's, the HU pinouts are in the manual. I can post those if it will help.
