Default Steering

Is there any improvements out there for factory cable steering??? Tight, lots of play no adjustment that I can see! Can they be upgraded??

Maybe a new cable? Could also be a bad valve on the transom assembly.

You could also have a worn gimble ring in addittion.. If that is the case fix the ring first & then switch to Hydraulic steering thus eliminating the cable set up. It's also safer & firmer.. Jamie

Like Jammie aluded to, you need to find the looseness and I doubt it's in the steering. Have you checked your gimbal ring for wear?
