Need some more help guys, I backflushed everything pulled the petcocks on the block, unhooked all hoses and flushed, new t stat, new impeller. The boat won't bring in any water, the only thing i didn't do was the impeller housing. I'm kind of stumped any suggestions would be great.

You might have the hoses switched on the raw water pump......did you make note of which one went where? Try switching them...you might have burned up your new impeller if they were wrong. If it's burned up make sure you find all the pieces of the impeller....you can do that by backflushing the motor again

I'm pretty sure the hoses were not switched I checked and double checked. The housing looked a little suspect, but I thought it would be ok. I imagine if that housing is not in good shape there would be a loss of suction.

Question

Which are you saying it won't pull water from the hose or in the water or both?

Did you use a merc impeller???? The Sierra stuff is notorious for not sucking in water, especially on the hose/muffs.

Have you tried dropping it in the water??? or just off the hose???

Like was said, you may have trashed the new impeller. Also, it takes a good minute to refill the block and get water out the exhaust.
