my konrad box has a seal on it so we just greased it TQed to 35lbs, I did use silicone on bolts I have a balsa and plywood trans on the saber so we were worried about over tighting bolts and crushing transom. have not hit water yet, still waiting for motor so do you guys think I am in trouble with rubber seal and 35lbstq the 25 lbs seemed real tight to me. thanks for any input. art

I always use marine silicone no matter if there is a seal on them .

Have a buddy with a 2003 33 Outlaw with boxes that we thought were leaking. Turned out is was the transom mounted water pickup. Only way it was found was the port motor was out due to the bolts sheering off on the flywheel. Impossible to see with the motor in place.

My box isn't leaking, but I have a good leak when motors are running. I'm assuming its the water neck for the freshwater on the transom assembly.

By the way Jason that was the cure for the wingplates although I hope I never have to take it apart cause theres enough 4200 on there to make a boat.

I would agree with water hose leak when engine is running. Go get one of the cheap camera you can connect to your laptop, then stick it in the box from inside boat to see where water is coming from.
