Thanks guys. I'm still looking and think my best bet is a MPI setup. Forget the exhaust and intake.

If you are not looking for more power, just fuel economy and drivability. Holley makes a TB kit that will bolt up to your stock manifold.

Okay, thanks for all the input so far. I've found an mpi setup off of a 1999 mercruiser 7.4 serial number 0L335396. I have not gotten the casting numbers off of those heads yet, but they should be vortec oval port. I did get the casting numbers off of my crusader and they are 10114156 oval open port 118cc chamber. Any reason the mercruiser setup would not work on my engine?
By the way, I've only got about 400 hrs on the motor...900 hrs on the boat. It was repowered in '99. Under the valve cover it lookes like new.

You have the penut port heads (small ovals), vortecs are large oval. Mismatched that would not work well. I do not know of a Merc mpi manifold for the peanut ports. You would have to change your heads or find a aftermarket kit.

Damned, you're right. I looked up some lists for casting numbers and they said oval port for both, however oval includes small oval and large oval. I think I may be wasting my and your time. Sorry.
