I bought a Refurb Pioneer AVIC D3 In-dash DVD/Nav unit from Sonicelectronix 2 years ago and it has been great. I also just recently bought some Sirius accessories for my wifes in dash DVD/Nav unit from them, again very pleased! They ship very fast.

I have bought from them on ebay as well. I can't remember if it was a PDX amp or Clarion head unit, but either way, everything is still working fine. That is very good price on the JL subs.

While we're doing question and answer.... I am looking to use a 5 channel amp to power 4 6.5s and 1 sub. Should I go this route or go with 2 amps?

I currently have a JL M4500 powering 4 JL 6.5's and an off brand 300 Watt amp powering two JL 10" free air subs. I am switching out the 300 watt amp with the JL 900/5 to power the subs and am adding two JL 7.7's. I will let you know how it turns out.

Also considering changing head unit from the Clarion XMD3 to Alpine CDA-118M.

Or if it works better for the install a MHD600/4 for the components and a MHD 750/1 for the subs. I am a little afraid of overpowering them though, and dont want to degrade the sound. There is a great deal on Amazon right now on the MHD900/5
Don't worry about overpowering them as long as you adjust the gain on the amps correctly. Underpowering speakers is a big problem that can damage your speakers if you get clipping. I would always take too much power over too little.

If you have no plans of ever expanding the system, a single 5 channel will work fine. If you think you may want to expand it later, go with 2 separate amps.

You guys had better do your research on sonicelectronix before you buy. I don't care if you bought 1 item and it's been fine, you just got lucky. What until something breaks and see what happens.

I know people that have bought from there and the item arrived dead, with no serial numbers. Sonic told them it would have to be re-serialized, sent for repair, back to them to have the numbers scraped back off, then back out to you. That's a 4 to 5 week ordeal on something that they bought new. Sonic is not an authorized dealer for 75% of what they sell. That equals bad customer service.

I put a thread on GMfullsize.com a few years ago and it got real good. 1 of the salesd!cks from that place came on and started bashing other members (2 of which were soldiers in Afghanistan at the time) for their statements.

It's simple, all you have to do is go to google and search for "sonic electronix" reviews. You'll be amazed.

If you're buying JL Audio from there, just remember that they're not an authorized dealer. You're taking a chance at buying something that's DOA with no warranty.
