Is there another reason your pulling the motor ? The heads can be taken off with it still in the boat.

I left my transmissions in when I pulled my engines. Just unbolted from the bell housing, undid motor mounts, slid forward. Make sure you get the bolt behind the starter in the bell housing. Don't ask me how I know. Put some support under the tranny when you get the engine out.

Did the valve take out a piston?

Don't you need the drive/transmission alignment tool if you remove the tranny? I have one drive that takes 2 people and 2 hours to put on, it is a B!tch!!! The other TRS drive I can put it on and bolted up in 15 mins by myself.

Just did mine take out with trans took me about 2.5 hours at my shop with air tools and a chain fall. I bagged all my bolts and marked each one so assembly is easy. Im not sure about an Hour not sure how thats possable even with air tools and chaion fall.
