OK, I'll try to answer your question. Yes the vortec heads are a nice performance upgrade from the stock heads and you can get a pair of new complete heads for under a grand. If you are going to use truck heads try to fing the later 062 castings, their flow is a little better. As for cams I've been working with Lunati on my 350 build im doing and they assure me that the voodoo 101 gring wil not revert and will be a nice upgrade from my stock non-magnum engine. Remember to keep the lobe center at 112*-114* or you WILL have issues, most EFI cam grinds keep a 112* centerline, don't go stupid with lift either unless your planning on running some serious RPMs. Intake keep a duel plane I really like the weind Stealth but the RPM Air gap seems to be getting rave reviews. Exhaust manifolds won't help the stock setup much but will help get the most out of any mods you do. Hope this helps
