It will be 2012. I got to busy to complete it in 2011.
All the motors are complete and ran on the dyno I just need the time to bolt in the last two motors. Thanks

Coolerman 12-22-2011 02:49 PM

I remember this thread from when you started. That is going to be one sweet rig. What did the motors dyno at?

ken sampson 12-23-2011 08:20 AM

Just over 700HP @ 5200 and 740LBS of TQ. The ZF trans I'm using is a 1.567 ratio thats 1150 FT LBS at the prop X 3 so
3450 FT LBS pushing the 50. She should move:) Thanks

Where did you get the intake setup? I have been looking for something like that. It looks similar to the Edelbrock ProFlo XT, which has shown some good numbers on the dyno verses a single plane throttle body setup.

ken sampson 01-09-2012 10:41 AM

Intake manifold

The intakes are made by Accel and are two piece. I machined a top plate so mine looks a little more custom.
This intake is used by many companies like Potter performance on there 777 and innovation marine. They are available in oval or Rec ports and are very inexpensive. You can find these for about 600.00 or less if you shop it. I had sent mine to Wilson Intakes to have spacers welded and ported for tall deck motors.

WoW, looks amazing!! where is this beast goin to be used at? lake erie?

cp5899 04-16-2012 05:32 PM

Looks awesome!!

Excuse my inexperience, but what are the advantages of these style drives? Less drivetrain power loss, less drag, stronger, less draft, prop closer to the water surface, etc. I've seen them before, but wasn't sure what the advantages were.

Also, the thru hulls pointing down. Are they some type of muffler, or puts the exhaust under water while idling?

Again, sorry for my lack of knowledge. It all looks awesome!! Just would like to understand it all.

Thanks!!

kreed 04-16-2012 05:45 PM

Holy crap! Wouldnt want to have to change the plugs in that bad boy, would be easier to just pull the engines out!

Looks Great!

NEVERSATISFIED 04-17-2012 01:56 PM

Looks great ken let us know how the water test goes!

Steve H 04-17-2012 03:11 PM

Beautiful........effin.............. Beautiful

ken sampson 04-17-2012 05:57 PM

Thanks everyone. I will be running the Chesapeake bay. Yes this setup was a tight fit. The turn down tips will act as a mufler by directing the sound down and under water at idle.
Its Rooster time:)

SS930 04-18-2012 06:57 AM

Congrats Ken, she looks beautiful!

akaboatman 04-18-2012 06:58 PM

Can't wait to hear how she runs. Love this boat. Artie

NEVERSATISFIED 04-18-2012 08:36 PM

Ken
What length are the turn downs? Are they Gibson's?
Thanks

Catmando 05-10-2012 02:08 AM

`

Must be $15-20k in exhaust alone. :eekdrop:

I wish:) The turn downs are about 14" and are CMI.
They will make them any length you need.
Ken

Chico&Zeus 05-10-2012 10:53 AM

The whole setup looks awesome. What is the turning radius on this beast going to be? Doesn't look like there is much stroke on the rams. How far can Arnesons pivot?
