I'm thinking a want one of these meters? Are these sync meters accurate and or very hard to install? does the meter read the tach's for info or does it read from the engines? Or do i jsut need to let this be like a Zen thing and go by ear?

does the gage just read the two 2 tachs and tell you whether they read the same ? as long as the tachs are accurate wouldn't it be the same as looking at the tachs and comparing the 2 ?
Unless it can control and sync the engine r p m I guess I just don't see the point.

EDIT: just spoke to Livorsi that gauge has been discontinued, due to being kinda useless lol

LOL, just got email from livorsi stating haven't had any in a year. Livorsi probably wonder where all these inquiries are generating from.

Darn, I was thinking about getting one! I could put it right next to my dilitihum crystal meter.... Guess it would be a good conversation piece though.

Thumbs up

Ok now I know what you guys re talking about! Went out today and yes that is a sweet sound of the twins running at 4K rpms. Like a sowing machine
I love twins!

The tach does catch up about 4K rpms so its the gauge, Livorsi said send it they`ll rebuilt it no problem.

there is not a better boating sound than hearing twins get into synch! I miss having twins for that reason and docking. Educating your wife/girlfriend on how to get them running in synch and properly trim out the drives is fun too.

Don't forget about your props. You could have a prop that is not in "sync" with the other, that will not allow the engines to sync as easily as you'd expect.

+1

I don't know if it is just me, but have found stock props to be somewhat different.
