Just a thought..... Do you have one of those safety switches that hooks on a lanyard that kills the motor if you were to fall overboard? Perhaps check the switch and make sure the connections are tight, not sure but I think that has something to do with spark.
Good luck!!

Default No spark

When you say no spark you do you mean the motor will not start or do you mean if you pull a plug and hold it while some turns the key that it does not shock the **** out of you.. Just kidding but we need to know if the plugs are firing or not.

What boat is this in? The reason for that question is that it really could be a kill switch that you don't use and it could be failing.

hell, that makes it interesting doesnt it? If it were me, the next time it happened i'd check for 12v + and - at the coil when cranking then go from there. if you have 12v going to the coil then you may have a bad pickup, module, etc even though you already replaced them. If you don't have 12v pos and neg! then the problem is in the wiring or ground. Just some ideas to try

I had Bravo 2's with my last Amberjack. One would do this occasionally. I ended up finding that the connector where the harness would have normally been connected to a shift cut-out switch (if I had had Alpha installed) was shorting occasionally. The plug to cover the harness was jacked up. I swapped between motors and the problem, although intermittently, moved. That shift-cut out switch was to momentarily cut-spark to the engine to "stall" the motor for a split second to reduce torque when shifting into/out of neutral. The end result of the bad plug was what you are describing. Shake you wiring harness.....

Unplug the harness and put some dielectric grease in the terminals and plug back up. Also might want to run a new ground to that motor. What is your battery configuration?
