Thank you for the apology! You can always tell a gentleman, he rarely makes in poor taste comments and he apologizes when he does! I know you and I are here just trying to help others, that's a good thing!

i must agree with ray on this one,you get what you pay for,if you cant afford the good quality parts, wait until you can,the cheep chinese patrs WILL FAIL.it not a matter of if,it a matter of when.i know its tempting to buy the cheaper parts, but in the long run,it will only cost you more money, after the cheap crap fails, and does more destruction to the rest of the engine,if you are a gambler, have at it,but i guarentee you,it wont be long before you looze.sorry, but it is what it is!

from what limited research I have done on the quality of Pro Comp and similar chinesium heads that are flooding the market there are more issues than aluminum quality. many have found valve guides in the wrong location and angle and valve seats off center of the valves. there are guys out there in the car world that have spent thousands to fix everything on a $800 set of heads only to have an inferior head at a higher cost than if they had just bought a set of Brodix or Edelbrocks. just my $.02 but a quality used part is far better than a crappy new one.

If you think putting a problem set of heads on a nicely built engine, having a problem and then going thru a loose -loose credit situation with proof for EBay is an easy or reasonable way to buy parts and build an engine then you are a fool and you would deserve the nightmare you would create for yourself. Be my guest, Have at it!
What the heck do I know, I only design and build cylinder heads for a living!
By the way I don' t make or have heads for this type of use so I am not biased here, just trying to help a few avoid possible issues.
