You can visually see that the orange wire is going into the tan wire when the plugs come together, should i just cut the connector an splice together with heat shrink removable bullet connectors in case it doesn't work still? Im worried theres more issues with the harness an that why id rather have a good one. Also two other red wires i found taped together on top of pwr head..havent traced them to see where they went i noticed it when i was putting the cowling back on.
I'll throw my 2 cents in... I've fought with 2.4 BPs more than I care to. None of the senors have to be hooked up to make it run, it will just be VERY rich. I would disconnect everything from the ECU harness except for the injectors, and try to run it like that.

Also, make sure the computer is getting power. You should be able to check for 5v to one of the sensors to verify the ECU is powering up.

If the ECU has power, a ground and a tach signal it should cycle the injectors.

I have run across the lake with no senors connected...

Any clue as to what powers the 3 wire TPS? I've got one solid ground an the other two wires don't have a ground but arent recieving voltage either according to my power probe. Seems to me either bad ecm or the wire harness that goes to the ecm is wired wrong. PS someone spliced a wire harness onto this motor, been having trouble locating a new or used one but the diagram you posted helped greatly! Think thats one of my big issues right now though, i can't measure a signal for the tps with voltage because there is none so it stands to be that the ecm won't tell the fuel injectors to fire since its recieving no signal?

Check the power wire to the ECU and make sure it's getting power. It's shown on that diagram. Also check the air temp sensor wires and see if one of those has 5 volts. If the wiring is hacked the ECU may have power but not the TPS.
On the TPS one wire should be 5v, one ground, and one the sensor output.
If the ECU has power and tach input it will fire the injectors.
