Me too...lol

I've been researching valve issues on a Ford flathead/hotrod my Dad gave me..the old timers at one of the Ford forums use the acetone mix to free the guides from the block..never heard of it before.
One of the carb experts is 101 yrs old and gave me some advice via email on the Stromberg 97.
If he had a boat hobby I guess he would be broke by now

Anyone used Zep 45?, it's by far the least economical but we keep going back to it in our shop. ATF and acetone are always on the shelf, can't wait to try it!

Unlike some others I can wait to try it but when needed I will have to give the ATF/acetone mix a try.

I have heard of that as well...isn't that also one of the compounds in marvel mystery oil?

We use the Zep 45 and the previously the original ZEP as well in my shop. Havent used the ATF/Acetone but the Zep blows away the other commercially available options.

not sure about wintergreen being in Marvel. We use the Wintergreen oil on Racing slicks as well for extra bite.
