Default What kind of thread for McLeod seams?

Hey guys,

The tops of my McLeod seats are coming apart a little and I want to fix it this winter. I know a few handy ladies that can sew them up good as new but they are concerned this application may require a different type of thread. Anyone have any insight here as to what I need to buy?

Thanks!
