Evening and Happy Holidays, later this month I will be going to take a look at a old Scarab Raider, I may line up an independent surveyer but I'd like to prepare myself for a little inspection. Could anyone reccomend an affordable quality moisture meter thats available at say Lowes, Home Depot, or maybe West Marine? I'll be bringing my borescope for a little motor inspection and a small delrin ball peen hammer for hull tapping. I really dunno what else to take along; any suggestions?

There are no cheap moisture meters that will read through fiberglass.

Do yourself a favor and pay the long buck for a good survey from some one who knows what they are doing !!!!! No time to cheap it out ----------------------Good luck
