Isnt the correct way just drill an 1/8th inch hole in middle so water can always bypass if the thermostat sticks? Thats what I have done in the past on my chevelle. I would drill just outside the center on the 2nd pic on the thinner metal. I may be wrong though!!! lol

that stat should have a bypass built into it..if not just buy yhe ones from KE performance with the bypass and dont worry about drilling holes..

That EMP is 180 degree t-stat. If they have 160 & 140 that would be a great price. The CP and KE t-stat is the same.

Also CP/ Hardin / KE / they are all owned by the same corp. so no different in their product cross overs. We sell the same t-stat kit as them but I would have to check the price. It comes as a kit with gaskets. Carry both 140 and 160 kits.

Also Moto Rad has fail safe t-stats - they never fail stuck closed if they fail its in the open position FYI

All my stuff I can get comes from Rob at CP Performance. This thermo came with my crossover kit. Looks like no drilling for me.
