I purchased a plug in style thermostat from Home Depot . keep in mind I put these bulbs in high quality plastic style (non heat conducting ) trouble lights and hang them underneath my engine so it's not touching anything.I set the thermostat at 45 degrees. Also have a watt meter connected to the boat (externally in the garage ) so I know how much this a drawing and when.
