CP Performance Stainless Steel Sea Pump
Anyone used one of these personally?http://www.cpperformance.com/p-14544...rhaul-kit.aspx Looking to buy one for the boat this spring and was thinking it would be a great product. Not to mention would never have to buy another housing ever again just the impeller and wear plate.

I have one on my 525. It's a great deal and an awesome piece. What was Mercury thinking putting a plastic raw water pump on a "racing" engine?
|
Exactly my thoughts!

I have one on my 500efi..looks sweet too
|
I have three on my Sonic. I have the racing mounts on the 500EFI's. The dimensions are a little diffrent on the back side of the pump. I had to get the 90 dergree stainless fittings for the bottom hose that goes to the fuel cooler.

You will most likely need the 90 degree fitting, I did on mine too. Did you cut the 90 degree bend off the hose? |
they are great ,have 2 on some 525s and would'nt own the plastic housings ever again .

Great to hear! I will definately be picking one up for the boat!

Ran one last season for the first time never had any problems and looks nice. Not going to lie after all said and done you have to look pretty hard to see.

Hey 86 Capri,
Looks Great! Where did you get your S/S lines and fittings ? Especially the large diameter water lines coming into the raw water pump. Thanks GAZ |
