Thats how I do it. Lower the tongue, block the rear on the chines at the transom, then raise the tongue jack and put a block under the keel. Lower the tongue jack, move the trailer back, reverse the steps to put the boat back on the trailer and you are good to go.


My boat is a heavy ***** and I used the above method to move it forward.. I have two boat stand I bought of Craigslist that work real well to hold up the transom. Then some 6x6`s and 2x6s to hold the keel. Worked great.

i use my car lift,,back between the posts,raise the arms and slide them under the outside of the edge of the boat...wotks like a champ....i can lift 12k..
