Default which heads ???

Im building a warmed over Gen 5, 454 mag, 10:1, fully balanced rotating assembly, scat crank and rods, JE pistons, HP500 cam, roller everything, EMI thunder. Stock rev limit is 5150, but thinking 5200-5500 might be possible.

Im down to needing heads. I have a line on a set of 088 take offs with 26 hours, but not sure if thats the best that I should have.

What is everyones thoughts ?

if it is in the budget i think some afr 290 oval port aluminum heads would work good for that application, call bob madera and see what he suggests.

I never get fast answers here. Post it in general boating discussion - more people seem to read that!
