I agree. I don't believe that is causing the water pressure issue either. It was just a guess at the time.

I'm thinking about just putting some offshore pickups and strainers on it while the motors are out, so that should be the end of the water issues.

I appreciate the offer. If all goes as planned, the boat should be in Nashville Saturday morning to get this started. I'm fully capable of doing the work (other than ECU retuning), but I just don't have the time right now.

Appreciate all of the advice from everyone - we love this boat, and I'm hoping that all will be even better after the repairs. We've still yet to have it WOT - about 2 weeks ago ran 93mph at 5000 rpms for a short 1/4 mile or so. It was a blast! ..but was still leaving about 500~600 rpm on the table.

For a gasket to be leaking bad enough to cause low water pressure it would have to be dumping a tremendous amount of water either into the bilge or into the engine, which in turn would end up in the bilge once the crankcase filled. If that much water was leaking from the coolant passage into the cylinder and going out the exhaust, it would have most likely hydrolocked by now and done some damage to the piston or rod. I don't know what the answer to your low water pressure problem is, but I don't think head gaskets will solve the issue.
I am just across the river if you need any help. I have a fully equipped shop and can help if you need any assistance.
