1994 Gen V Mags would have been carb motors would they not? If you have a Gen V EFI (Lingenfelter intake) then it is a 330 HP non-Mag motor. Looks just like the later 385 HP MPI Mag motors.

They made a GEN V 454 and 502 MAG EFI. They were flat tappet. Stock cam was GM#14096209. 220/220 .500/.500 115lsa. Upgrading to a better hyd roller would be a step in the right direction.

I take that back. You'd be better off pulling them out and selling them. Try and find a set of 502/415HP mags with around 500 hours to drop in. Its not worth doing modifications and will significantly reduce resale value.

They do if it's a "mag". Mike Sommers had 1995 gen v 502 mag MPI engines. He had them redone and installed stroker kits to make them 540's. His original GM forged rotating assemblies were removed. When I asked him if he wanted to sell me them, he said too late because he threw them in the scrap bin.
