my guess is he will be just fine with the redhorse stuff and with 40% off the deal is good.worst thing that can happen is a bilge full of water but that,s why we have bilge pumps!

I always thought for quality pieces was BMRS = Brown & Miller Racing Solutions.

True. The boat might sink, then the insurance agents are gonna find Redhorse fittings and tell Icdedppl he's screwed!! :coolcowboy:

I might have to change out my toilet hoses to aeroquip or earls. I cant believe i trust 60psi of house water pressure to these hoses while i am away on vacation! I am surprised i havent come home to the great chicago flood and destroyed my hardwood flooring, floor joists, burned out my well pump and killed my dog using these made in taiwan home depot toilet hoses! Does aeroquip have a bed and bath section on their site?

Now thats funny!
Seriously though if it couldn't hold up in such low pressures it wouldn't have made it to market. My 2 cents
thanks icededpl

ps now I have avatar envy

I shut the well off when I leave my place, but now you have me thinking. I have a pretty good stock of AN fittings, I'll let you know what I come up with. My relatives already think I'm anal, why not remove all doubt. Probably get better flow and faster refills, it's always about better performance. Tim the toolman has nothing on me! LOL

Its an aluminum fitting, you wanna over pay more for a name brand GO FOR IT.

FYI, only Earl's fittings are made in the Holley Plant located in Bowling Green, KY. Redhorse, Aeroquip, Russell, Sniper, PBM, and others are manufactured overseas in order to keep costs down, so you may wanna get your facts straight because according to your definition Aeroquip is also "imported crap"

RedHorse however is 30 min from my house, I never knew this but now that i do I`ll gladly support a local company, plus the owner is a nice guy and a racer. Good enough for me.

Dan,,you know what your rite and im wrong,,you just go ahead and use those nice looking fittings,,i have never rigged a boat let alone worked on one and i have never saw a investigation on a boat that caught fire done by a ins company....but i have seen the uscg and detectives from the authorities get involved..you should have seen what i had to go through when the neighbors shop caught fire and trashed the whole building but ill save that one for another day..
