Default Cooling system plumbing

I want to install a ball valve shut off on the feed hose to the sea pump. Do to limited space it looks as if I might need to use a 90 degree fitting on one side. Would doing that create to much restriction?

I dont think so Clyde. I have some brass 90's on my factory sea strainers, plenty of water. You got any pics of what you're working with there?
