Default Water leaking in bilge area NEED HELP!!!

I just replaced my bellows and everything was fine. After spending a day on the water I headed into the marina and noticed a lot of water in the bilge area.

I had a chance today to drop the boat into the water again and noticed water coming into the transom from what seems to be the steering pin, well as the through hull exhaust.

I took video of the leak and would like to get opinion.

Also I have read that you have to remove the engine but it seems like I could remove the assembly without removing the motor.

Final question, if I were to take it to a mercuiser mechanic what would typically be the charge.
This is a bravo 3

Thanks

that,s a lot of water coming from the exhaust tips where they mount to the transom,i would remove the tips, seal the holes with a good paint and reinstall the tips useing lifeseal as a sealer.you can repair the steering pin without removing the engine if you use the kit that jr marine sells.

Those are some serious leaks. You better take it to a qualified mechanic and have it checked out.

Bet that transom wood is soaking up the water leaking past the exhaust tips like a sponge!

Were those tips recently removed?

Yes the tips were recently removed which may be the cause of the exhaust leaking.

However, I am more concerned about the gimbal housing. Dow it seem like it is coming from the steering pin? I watched the JR video and seems simple enough to do. but not sure if it is from the steering pin. It looks like it to me.

It's the steering pin hopefully the gimbal housing is not worn out and will still hold the pin seal... What year is it?

Definitely the steering pin seals are bad. User jr marines kit. Just did that myself on my bravo drives on my powerquest. And fix those exhaust tips immediately. My baja outlaw needed transom replacement for the same issue.

By the way use all of jr marine parts. His pin, gimbal ring, bell housing. And replace all nuts and bolts and bushings.

Zschaefer38,

How bad was the job to do? Why do I have to change the bell housing , and did you have to pull the motors?
