Default Converting from single control to dual stick controls?

Hi all,

I'm thinking of converting my sigle stick control to a dual stick control on our Baja Islander.

One,
has anyone done this?

Two,
this is a side mount that will be coming off so a side mount/pod system will be needed.

Three,
Any suggestions?

I found this unit for sale but was wondering if there was a little different/cheaper set up?

The unit above looks very nice but its a bit more than I really want to spend at this point.

Thanks in advance

I think in order to convert side mount to separate shift/throttle you would have to build a box to mount it in. Your link didn't open for me. Other than that its am easy swap. Controls are expensive.

link doesnt work. i am assuming you want something like these.

the problem with building a box to mount the normal ones is the angle you would have to have your cables coming out at to no be a complete eyesore. at least not any uglier than the random box just hanging on the side of the boat.

Would you happen to have a link to the Teleflex unit on Ebay?
Beaver 3 found what I was looking into. Those things aren't cheap.

Livorsi makes some really nice looking single side mount levers that would be a nice upgrade without a lot of extra work and reconfiguration.

Thanks, and Yes they do look nice but it doesn't look as though they include a trailer switch on their set up, the Dana dual control does.
I MAY have to spend the LONG dollar in the future to get what I am looking for. (as much as I hate too)

Thanks for chiming in though, I greatly appreciate it.
You never know, someone might have already done what I'm looking to do with something a little different for le$$ than the Dana set up.
