Alright. I think I get it now. Basically, as much water that can go through the 1/2 bypass will run through the block and out the exhaust until the thermostat opens. Then it all flys. My manifolds have provision for this already. It will be simple. Thanks!!

Hate to kill this dead horse (I'm already plumbing it) but...

If the water can now travel through the bypass line and out the thermostat housing ports to the exhaust, what is the point of the little holes in the thermostat? Initially, I misunderstood those as being the way water got through to the output ports but now I get that it flows through the extra bypass hose.

eliminates the chance of a steam or air pocket & stat not opening
