whats the base of the seats made of?looking good

Unlimited jd 01-02-2017 06:03 PM

Thank you, I appreciate that. The seat base is plywood, and framed with 2x3's for support. Coated it with epoxy to seal it, then covered in foam and busted out the home ec skills and stitched up a carbon print vinyl cover for it.

Nice, is it a 35 or 38? As for the fountain I like what your doing. Excited to see it progress.

Unlimited jd 01-02-2017 08:34 PM

The cig is a '99 38' merc 600sc's and bravos.
Just over 400 hours on the hull and 90% of it was in nh on fresh water. It's a real clean nice boat that a friend/customer picked up last year.

This is what I did with the stand up bolster in my race boat.

Even though you cant see them in this picture there is removable cushions for the seats.

A little better picture from the boat show calendar.

Perhaps it's better this amplifier put on the floor, they are heavy and could fall on the rough sea,not immediately, but over time

Appreciate the input but they aren't going anywhere. They are mounted like that on every boat I've looked at or worked on, and if anything loosens up its easy enough to through bolt them to that wall.
