one thing Id like to add that i just thought of this morning. I agree the piping/welting foot is good to have but you probably wont use it much. Its easier and looks better to do a flat stitch on corners (dont know exactly what the double flat stitch is called but its used on everything lol), the big welting is hardly used on anything anymore.
Piping ads some strength to the seam. imo
Windlace is the big piping 1/2'' used on old cars.

Wife redid our entire Carver - sunbrella and vinyl and the interior with an old portable Viking walking foot. Everything, even the drapes.
Can see the work on my photobucket pages.
But now I am going to surprise her with a new servo motor Juki DNU1541-S for her Bday. So she can sew up some more stuff for me. Nice guy, eh?

thats the funny part, I own five sewing machines and let me tell you . . . its a bit of a running gag. But if my girl got me that Juki i would be ecstatic lol
safe to say i am one of the only people in the world that can claim to be a world champion boat racer, ice climber, cook, and able to sew my own sh!t . . . plus I'm an excellent driver
