imo the 345 head is to big for your engine.they will work if better heads are not in the budget.i think a set of afr 305s will wake those engines up.

Answer is yes. Thats a head for say 580cid and bigger marine IO's

it will be a pig out of the hole..they are not the fastest spooling turbo..like mike said stick with somthing around 300 cc intake runner..that set up really needs a set of big oval ports and intake..

Even though still a tad bit 'large' for a 454 - Engine Quests relatively new cast iron BBC heads are not super expensive bare and many have reported very good performance with them.
