Is there a way to spin pump to bleed system with out starting engine? Does the system self bleed by turning wheel side to side or does hose fittings need to be cracked open to expend air? Any assistance or advice is much appreciated. Thanks
Doing it with the engine running and 2 people is the easiest way. One person to keep turning the steering wheel from lock to lock and one to keep adding fluid as needed.
It will self bleed with repeated turning lock to lock.

I've never bled a system. I just fill the pump with fluid, start the engine and add fluid as needed. Turn loc to loc, refill. Once the helm and system has fluid in it I turn the helm loc to loc with the engines off for a bit.

when you mount the helm unit to the dash, if is not perfectly flat and put on the slightest bind will make drive funky as hell, if still fells funny try loosening the the 4 bolts a little see if it changes, if it does is in the mounting and the column length...
