How difficult or any secrets to changing out a shift cable on an 03 33 outlaw 496ho's?? My port side shifts forward easy but takes some extra effort to put in reverse.. cross posted

More than likely its the lower shift cable so the drive needs to come off.

It could also be the shift linkage and detent assembly in the outdrive.
