Default Has anyone made boat stands or have plans for making them?

Just wondering if anyone has ever made boat stands that can be used for the corners of the boat? I want to take my boat off the trailer and I was hoping I could fabricate some stands. I do have a mig welder and I would want them to be adjustable. Like the adjustable screw jack kind.

Everybody i know stacks cement blocks...you could maybe find a nearby boatyard and rent-borrow a couple for a time. Lots of boats are coming off their stands next few weeks.

I'd probably use these. They're cheap at ~$90/ea for the 3500# model.

I have made them with the swivel scaffold legs that jsp posted.

I took normal car jack stands and cut them right at the top of the taper. Then I welded in a piece of chromoly tubing that the scaffolding legs slide into. Then I just put a piece of wood or thick rubber in between the stand and the hull. I have them at home and will take a picture when I get there after work.

Just say no to CMU blocks for use as "jack stands" in any application! Great way to get yourself seriously injured or killed.
