by looking at the valves, it ran lean, as said before look at those very carefully....some look tuliped

Kinda weird timing wise, but I was reading an article over the week end, and an article mentioned that even though rings move, when a piston is taken out of an engine and it's ring gaps are lined up, it is usually from the bore being out of round and causing them to stop rotating and line up this way. even though small possibility they just ended this way at it's last shut down, this bore must be especially checked because of the better chance of the bore having issues.

going to say this again, tuning ANY blower setup without a wideband is pissing in the wind...I found this out after many hours of testing and work...can run great, plugs look good..and be dead lean at certain RPM ranges

Your sure that they are tuliped? It appeared to me that the diferant colour make it seems like they are tuliped,just a thought .
I curios to see when he get the heads checked out if they are tuliped.

Nope...but needs to be checked carefully, when a large piece removes itself bad things happen...

I'd verify that they will check the bores with torque plates installed.
Most good machine shops will, but for others it's optional.

Machine shop was 2 weeks out when they were dropped off last week. No word yet. Valves did not appear to be tuliped, However they are going through the heads as well.
