It also helps a ton of people have used the gen III LS motor so knock data is out there!!

Keep in mind that knock data different grossly in a boat then a car, motor mounting along with type of material it mounted to can change the level of knock
Thanks, Just curious how everyone else tunes theirs. Haven't heard of a method that does not involve initiating some knock in the motor to find the threshold

Unless a guys going to coil on plug or doing something extreme (or has bad ecu) their is no real gain in spending 1000's to convert to aftermarket efi when you can buy mefi burn for 700$ and tune the motors how ever you want

I forgot about the auto tune feature, spent all day tuning a customers 38 foot sonic on the water the old fashioned way, yes, auto tune would DEFINITELY be easier but costly!

I have spent some time with mefi burn and it's not real difficult but it's basically still trial and error
I am thinking the auto tune option may be really worth it especially if u have the bad luck of having to change motors after one blows and has to be replaced. Then it's just set it up re auto tune and go
. Or so it seems on face value.. o more having to rely on someone else to tune the motor every time.
I have friends that run mega squirt and love them at a much cheaper cost. But they r not coast guard approved

I have a 500efi (clone) that has been upgraded to a 509 with the cam for a 525efi.
My issue is this. 9 out of 10 times, when I shift it into gear from idle it stalls the motor out just like u turned the key off. and really doesn't like to idle below 900rpm.
but when I can get it to stay running and bump the rpm to 1000 asai shift into gear. it seems to run well.
I assume it is a tuning issue. but just thought id see if there r any other suggestions that I might consider. before I take it to the pros.
