cost to install two engines

Suggestions on what to expect to pay for having two plug and play drop in engines installed ? Drives and hatch will be removed. Going from 7.4L Bravo to 454/420 Bravo. 32' Fountain.

In my experience, there is such thing as plug and play in a marine engine install. You will be better off with an hourly rate and you manage the level of detail you expect and the number of changes you want. Craig and I have done this no less than 10 times on my boat and each time the amount of time and the level of detail increases.

I'm far from experienced...took us 2-3 hours to remove 2 engines. I'm guessing it would take 4-5 to put them back in. I wouldn't pay over $500 for install at $100 an hour.

5 hours to install and adjust mounts. Another 5 goofing around trying to fit the exhaust. Probably another 5 hooking up electrical and fuel and trouble shooting.

That would be on a good day I would think.

Nothing ever goes as planned.

Pulled mine in fountain by myself and took me 2 hours on the dot. Reinstalling i wouldn't expect more than 3 hours. There's nothing to it.

Engine mounts, fuel line, battery cable+-, engine harness, carb & shift bracket, water hose,

Ya I didn't know what to expect. Only thing I had done in adavance was tails and hatches removal day before. This is a merctrans conversion and has rear offshore mounts that are part of the bell housing also. Snap on cordless impacts and ratchets can be a life saver to those place you can get your arms/hands

I've taken out and installed many.

They never go back in as fast as they come out.
