Default More HP out of 525sc's

How can i get more HP out of my stock 525SC's. I would love to get more speed.

Do and advanced search and search my screen name and keyword 525SC. Lots of threads with good info.

Realistically, in a straight bottom 382, it will take at least 100hp increase per side to gain even 5 mph

Higher compression pistons, better heads better can and valvetrain.

Your 525SC is a 454 long block.... find some 502's and that will be somewhat of a help....

Except you are still feeding it with a 177CI blower. This is not the best option in this scenario.

I have found that a smaller pulley will net 640TQ and 580HP reliably. How much power are you wanting?

You are correct, Mine actually had 250 blowers on with bigger pullies to reduce boost... so when I swapped my long blocks I stepped down in pully size...
You make a great point though that I should have expanded on, the 177 blowers will not provide much boost at all... and going down in top pully size will likely be more than they can handle...
Time to break out that wallet!

raising the compression ratio and installing the right cam will wake it up even if keeping the small blower,that and a set of aftermarket heads will make it scream.
