I just finally read up on what it actually does. I thought it was something to keep nasty critters from sticking to the fancy parts but it’s more for galvanic corrosion. Got it.

It is a must have for any one that works on a car, boat or house.

I have several, I was referencing the Mercathode Reference Electrode Tester P/N 76675A1. Unfortunately, I can't go back and edit.
