a1000 pump
ok sooo here's my question does anyone feel thar 1 single a1000 pump could support 2 500 efi engines with separate by pass regulators?
|
I would have two separate smaller pumps for redundancy.
one pump fails you can still get home. |
what pumps is everyone using for NA efi engine's?
|
I believe that is the pump I am using for my 598.
But I am north of 800 HP |
I have an extra a1000 that I plan on posting in the swap shop soon if you're interested....if they are stock 500 efi's I think that pump is way overkill...whats wrong with the stock setup??
|
I am running an a1000 with a 713hp 540. I also ran it on my previous motor that was a 540 with 500efi injection. Does not really matter if the pump is too large if you are returning the extra fuel to the tank. Jeff wurl |
they have cams in them. every one says ditch the cool fuel. and to be honest it gave me nothing but problems after i did the cam swap. not to mention there a pain in rhe azz to service.
do i REALLY need a Marine rated pump? i was looking at the holley in line for half the cost as well. |
Mine is not a marine pump for what its worth..I didn't run the a1000 because I didn't want to upsize all of my AN fittings that I already installed for the fuel system...plus I have 2 tanks 1 engine so a return style regulator would have been a nightmare...I'll look up the unit I'm running and post it for you...very nice relatively inexpensive product and it has a built in regulator that can be ran as a bypass or deadhead
