I didn't mean to discourage in my last post as I've pushed the limits on some questionable builds myself over the years but mostly when I was younger and kinda like the "live and learn" type deal. Your biggest weak point in bottom ends will be rod bolts and pistons. But then again I've heard of guys strapping 177's on stock 330's without issues.

I don't "do" pontoons. LOL For my 42 we used Garrets. For the 525 EFI kits we use Xona Rotor.

I think you are mistaking Ryan here for the guy in MN that built the turbo LS 'toon.

Patrick, you don't need wastegates at all for what you are looking to do. The original Merc 475's had a 3/4" hole in the housing to bleed exhaust prior to impeller so you could do the same. The 3/4" hole netted around 3-4 pounds of boost so maybe 1/2 or 5/8" hole would get you 5 pounds. I say go for it, would look really cool when you open the hatches.

Andy, is that the original setup in the 377? If so what happened to the original turbine housings?

Yes that pic is the original from your boat, factory set-up. It was taken not too long after I bought the Kaama. I used all the original parts less the tubes in the pic. The 3/4" holes I plug welded in the original housings. So if you look at your turbos you'll see evidence of the plugged hole.
