I like the idea of using Right Stuff on the fittings, that stuff is amazing. I didn't have room for double clamps on the fitting or I would have
For the ball valve at the transom I made a T handle that came up about a foot to control the valve.

I just replaced what Cigarette originally used. I found a part # & Googled it. Ended up being a Gates Green Stripe hose.

I bought these water pickups to replace the old originals https://teaguecustommarine.com/em0011/transom-mount-361
it will then go straight into a ball valve https://www.mcmaster.com/stainless-s...on-off-valves/

Just pulled all 3 motors out of my fountain. Refinished the whole bilge, replaced EVERY hose with Parker hose from the local Parker store. Made specifically for water intake etc. Same with fuel hose. Dbl clamped every attach point. Expensive be but cheaper that raising it off of the bottom. Lol

Those are the same pickups i had on mine. The Teague ones used the same inlet hole. I still will need to figure out proper length to make sure they provide optimal pressure while at speed.

Anyone have pics of plumbing in a garden hose hookup to run boat out of water? Ordering everything now do it this weekend 👍🏻 My impeller is on opposite side of water pickup kind of strange. Hose runs in bilge to other side of motor.
