Found a neat fitting for oil cooler lines

I've been working on my oil cooler plumbing and came across some fittings that fit my needs perfectly so I thought I'd share. These are a -10, 5/8" hose size reusable standard AN hose fitting, to 1/2" NPT so it fits many typical size oil coolers. This way I could avoid having another adapter fitting in place that could potentially add another leaking point or restriction. It's a cleaner install. It swivels on both ends.
(I know high performance coolers are often 3/4" NPT, however my stuff is 1/2")
Summit makes them in 3 configs,
240118B = 90 degree
240111B = 45 degree
240104B = straight

Kinda takes away from the great part of an AN fitting. Being able to quickly take apart and put the connection back together with a reliable seal. NPT threads require sealant every time you take it apart and put it together. They are also much harder to get stated and tightened without cross threading, especially in awkward bildge areas where oil coolers and lines reside. It does look nice and is an easy way to transition to AN style hose/fitting if you are not gonna have to ever mess with it.

It may be better to use this combo. yes its another possible leak but you reduce the risk of teflon getting into the oil line. Use a straight pipe to An fitting and then use a 90 deg tube hose end.

Thanks for this. I am doing oil cooling soon. All points are valid. And righto, design it so you leave the NPT fittings in place sealed up. Use the -AN fittings when opening things.
Or buy -AN coolers...Or tap out NPT to -AN to reduce the # of joining points?
