They sell a smoke liquid at party stores, I use a quart paint can with 2 male air hose fittings soldered to the lid. I have a pump that you inflate an air mattress with, for smoke I light a 1x1 " red shop rag on fire in the can then snuff it out, ( smokes like an sob . Once the can is closed I turn on the air pump. It's crude but cheap and effective.
